DASHA KANDINSKY

Dasha Skorubska-Kandinsky was born in Kiev in 1985 in an artistic family.

She graduated at the Crimean Art School « Samokish », and then at the National Fine Arts and Architecture Academy in Kiev.

Her father, Anton S. Kandinsky (descendent of Wassily Kandinsky) was a well-known pop post-soviet artist. He lived and worked in New York where he became famous for developing his signature artistic style known as « Gemism ».

Today Dasha continues to broaden and enrich her father’ artistic style, as well as her own, that she calls Academism.

She states that « a work of art needs to be syncretic » and by consequence, she uses the academic approach as a foundation for her works. A work of hers is not complete if it doesn’t contain a myth (non-verbal philosophy) and aesthetics. She combines mystic expressionism, nude sexuality and symbolic mythology.

VINCENT SABATIER

Vincent Sabatier is a French artist born in 1971, living and working in the Lyon area. A graduate of the Beaux-Arts, he begins his career with design and communication, turns to education in 2009 and devotes himself to his work.

He develops a hybrid work combining screen printing and resin in an original process of overlays, which he will patent. His mastery of liquid resins and silkscreens and the play with surprising insertions make each work a colorful piece of art and full of unforeseen.

Describing his approach as a Neo-Pop Art, he emerges his works between sculpture and paintings, full of effects of matter and light, playing on the contrasts between transparency and opacity.

The themes are anchored in our contemporary cultural references. Vincent Sabatier thus declines the iconic figures of his generation, thus developing a polysemic work that follows his inspirations.

Firmly Baroque, the work of Lionel Morateur, revisits the great ancient or religious themes, between myths and proverbs.

He stages a Dionysian universe where the outrageousness and excess leave the door open to multiple interpretations or levels of reading.

Master in the art of mise-en-abîme, Lionel Morateur sends us back to this eternal part of ourselves escaping all reason or morality.

DON

Don from the TWA (True We Are) group is a graffiti artist, originating from les Minguettes à Vénissieux, in the Lyonese suburbs.

He began writing graffiti in 1988. Bathed by the reading of Comic-strips and original New-York graffiti, his universe is a cross point of these two influences.

He occupied the poste of artistic director of the Rencontres Urbaines de la Villette in the frame of the Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art.

In the same time, Don passed from walls to canvas, to translate his vision of graffiti (writing) to the canvas that he approaches like  if it is a wall.

He is equally developing his vision of the world through the photography bias.

MATHILDE OSCAR

After her studies in Art History and the years in painting, it is natural that Mathilde Oscar’s work is much more pictorial rather than photographic.

Her intention is not to capture the moment, but on the contrary, to manufacture it.

From the point of a storyteller she differs from reportage photography by leaving nothing to chance, everything is studied in detail, because every detail matters.

A manufactured world, inspired by all times and out of time and all mediums at the same time.

To avoid all rules by complying with them, not filling in box by signing them all, that is my vocation.

THIERRY CORPET

Thierry Corpet, alias Raymond X is a French artist, born in 1965 who lives and works in Corte in Corsica.

Raymond X creates a visual din, a falsely peaceful amalgamation of forms and graffiti, he seeks to deconstruct a formatted aesthetic.

Often he draws inspiration from rock and jazz music to compose enigmatic and fun graphic poems.

The hopping and slippery line flies over, connects, observes and evolves in a chaotic and colorful maze where the characters and objects are on the verge of dissolution.

Mr STRANGE

Jean-Marie Gitard, alias Mr Strange is a French artist born in 1964 who lives in the south of France.

After studying History of Art and with a fairly classic approach as a painter, Mr Strange, very largely inspired by surrealism and carried by a curious and inventive personality, gradually moved away from classical painting into polymorphic forms, mixing painting and sculpture, this is his period of "Spictures".

Digital becomes his favorite medium which allows him to deepen his inner universe without constraint or limit.

From birth to death, from the individual to society, without sparing anyone.

Mr Strange handles surrealism with a certain derision, and proposes sometimes poetic, sometimes caustic but always a sharp view on the world.

A take on a world that is upside down.

PHILIPPE GRIMAUD

Philippe Grimaud is a French artist who lives and works in Nantes.

After having studied at the Beaux-Arts and a rich career as a draftsman and designer in the Paris region in some of the largest advertising agencies, Philippe Grimaud chose to leave business and life in the capital by moving to Nantes and returning to his first passion by devoting himself to more personal works.

Philippe Grimaud sublimates the techniques used previously in his profession and develops a universe that mixes pop references, nods to the B series and pseudo vintage works, combined with a very contemporary and graphic aesthetic.

Faithful to his pop art culture, Philippe Grimaud offers a demanding and very graphic work, which is vivid, colorful and affordable to a great number of people.

ERIC ULLRICH

Eric Ullrich was born in Alsace in 1961. In 1980 he makes his first impressionist oil paintings. Quickly his work finds his singular personality. He lets himself be carried away by the eclectic influences of his masters Monet, De Stael, Cy Twombly as well as the walls of our cities that bring him to Street Art at the end of the 2000s before he goes back to his research.

Since 1990 he has been alternating solo and group exhibitions, national and international ones. His works are owned by collectors around the world. He is also a writer and the author of several novels and plays.

In 2016 he begins what he called his “poster-distribution campaigns”. He puts his works on the walls of the cities he visits and leaves them at the disposal of passengers.

MICHEL TABANOU

Born in 1953 in Antananarivo, Michel Tabanou lives and works in the Paris region. An architect by degree, currently the president of the Immanence Art Center in Paris, curator and collector of artists' books, a Robert Filliou specialist and a multimedia artist, Michel Tabanou is not reducible to any category.

It can be said, however, that he fits into the long line of classic artists, who deploy their art in different spaces.

Michel Tabanou multiplies the supports: Paintings, collages, assemblages, photo-compositions, objects. From the materials collected during his walks to digital work, he is no longer confined to a single technique.

His work has been enriched, over time, by his curiosity and his travels. From his childhood in Madagascar to the American desert, he creates and recreates intimate dreamlike landscapes, invents places devoid of human figures but strangely inhabited.

ALEX MANCHEV

Women are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for photographer Alex Manchev.

Of Bulgarian origin, his love for photography was revealed when he was only 19 years old.

His talent first led him to a career as a professional photographer in the fashion sector, before turning definitively to fine art photography.

A female nude photographer, he knows how to capture the extravagance, raw beauty and freedom of his subjects.

His silver photos worked in black and white swing between an assumed classicism and a resolutely contemporary approach.

MICHEL HOSSZU

With Michel Hosszù, it is a part of the history of art of the 20th century that opens in front of us, especially Pop Art. After studying at the Estienne school, he left for the United States. During this American period, where he hangs out at the FACTORY, alongside the avant-garde of his time, he discovers the use of screen printing and photography.

On his return to France in 1966, in addition to a painful passage under the flag, the society is not, as far as artistic production is concerned, as progressed as it is across the Atlantic and hence nobody was waiting for him.

Not very concerned about his career, but supported by two great collectors, multiplying collaborations and group exhibitions under the influence of his numerous artist friends, he will continue his career as an artist off the beaten path.

There is a “mise en abîme” of the human destiny in Michel Hosszù,  by the "grotesque" at work of the human tragedy.

DEATH NYC

Death NYC is a New York street artist.

Her pseudonym is actually an acronym for "Don't Easily Abandon The Hope".

Cultivating her anonymity, she began to express herself on the walls and floors of popular stores in New York's Soho and Chelsea neighborhoods.

She is gradually turning to a critique of the icons and symbols of our market economy and its star system.

The diversion of these through the grotesque and the ridiculous has become "her trademark".

Active for twenty years already, she lives between New York and Hong Kong.

MARIE CAVIALE

Marie Caviale's artistic journey began at 17 at the Conservatoire d'Arts Plastiques in Fresnes, France. Here, she developed a passion for discovery and creation, focusing on abstraction and innovative techniques. Alongside her career as a special educator working with children with disabilities, Marie found inspiration in sharing and communicating through art.

Since 2018, Marie has been a professional visual artist, conducting art workshops for young autistic adults. Her work is characterized by a relentless exploration of materials, supports, and colors, driven by a desire to experiment and innovate.

Influenced by the Supports/Surfaces movement and Arte Povera, Marie focuses on the interactions between materials and diverse supports like recycled papers, cardboard, and textiles. Her creative process embraces surprise and the unpredictable reactions of inks, pigments, and paints. Marie meticulously experiments with paper, using pyrography and soldering irons to create volumes, reliefs, and intricate patterns. Her works blend the organic, vegetal, and mineral into a sensory and dreamlike experience.

OLIVIER BIAREZ

Olivier Biarez was born in 1966, he lives in the west of France, in Vendée.

After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Nantes and Rennes, Olivier Biarez was divided between painting and crafts, restoration of works (castles, churches, individuals ...), shows, events and then the interior design.

In recent years, the artist has chosen to devote himself entirely to his work. It is the abstract paintings that constitute the bottom of the work of the artist. From his “Petits papiers” (little papers) to large triptychs, Olivier Biarez explores textures, shapes, coulures and polysemy of colors in a falsely monochrome or two-colored look.

The pictorial universe of Olivier Biarez is dense. He intensely and coherently explores color and material in resolutely contemporary work.

RICHARD SAINT-AMANS

Richard Guillaume, also known as "Richard Saint-Amans", is a French artist born in 1949 in Béziers. He lives and works near Versailles.

His taste for American hyperrealism, the Flemish primitives, his background as a photographer naturally takes him to a hyperrealist figuration. He then works on the issue of transparency and glazing in a demanding technical exploration. He ends up feeling cramped in this approach and the concomitant discovery of Japan confirms the abandonment of this path.

Inspired by Hans Hartung, he is interested in signs, traces and other bits of memory left on the walls. He comes to superimpose signs, substrates of an almost forgotten writing, producing abstract compositions, stripping, and purifying his line, to get closer to the essence of the gesture, thus composing a calligraphy trough painting in some way.

Born in Nice in 1958, Jean-Michel Zazzi works as a roughman, illustrator and art director in the world of communication agencies. He produces and directs documentaries dedicated to the art world and organizes workshops for the national education or local authorities.

In parallel with these different activities, he strives to deploy a personal work, for which he creates video diaries that he posts on the internet.

The work of Jean-Michel Zazzi is willingly part of the street art movement or 16 mm, although it is mostly a visual artist work because Jean-Michel Zazzi is a global artist.

Cut-out paper, engraved wood, "Saint Godasse", enfleurage in frames, paper pebbles, masks ... the world of Jean-Michel Zazzi is colorful and not lacking humor.
